Hey, tut mir leid.

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address Failover.IP
netmask 255.255.255.255
broadcast Failover.IP
post-up route add Hauptip.254 dev eth0
post-up route add default gw Hauptip.254
post-down route del Hauptip.254 dev eth0
post-down route del default gw Hauptip.254

Schicke uns doch einfach nochmal deine komplette Konfiguration.
running /etc/init.d/networking restart is deprecated because it may not r[warnble some interfaces ... (warning).

root@XXXXXXXX:~# service networking restart
[....] Running /etc/init.d/networking restart is deprecated because it may not r[warnble some interfaces ... (warning).

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address Failover.IP
netmask 255.255.255.255
broadcast Failover.IP
# dns-* options are implemented by the resolvconf package, if installed
dns-nameservers 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4
post-up route add Hauptip.254 dev eth0
post-up route add default gw Hauptip.254
post-down route del Hauptip.254 dev eth0
post-down route del default gw Hauptip.254

damit sollte es dann problemlos laufen

probier es mit
ifdown eth0 && ifup eth0

Vielen Dank euch beiden.

root@XXXXXXXXX:~# service networking restart
[....] Running /etc/init.d/networking restart is deprecated because it may not r[warnble some interfaces ... (warning).

Ich verzweifel langsam...

Hallo Uid,

Dann sollte alles problemlos funktionieren.

Liebe Grüße,
Lisa

So mache ich es seit Jahren problemlos:

auto eth0:1
iface eth0:1 inet static
address FAILOVERIP
netmask 255.255.255.0
network FAILOVERIP mit 0 am Ende
broadcast FAILOVERIP mit 255 am Ende

Hallo,

auto eth0:0
allow-hotplug eth0:0
iface eth0:0 inet static
address XX.XXX.XXX.XXX
network 255.255.255.255

auto eth0:1
allow-hotplug eth0:1
iface eth0:1 inet static
address XX.XXX.XXX.XXX
network 255.255.255.255

auto eth0:2
allow-hotplug eth0:2
iface eth0:2 inet static
address XX.XXX.XXX.XXX
network 255.255.255.255

auto eth0:3
allow-hotplug eth0:3
iface eth0:3 inet static
address XX.XXX.XXX.XXX
network 255.255.255.255

---------------------

root@nsXXXXXXX:~# service networking restart
[warn] Running /etc/init.d/networking restart is deprecated because it may not re-enable some interfaces ... (warning).
[....] Reconfiguring network interfaces...
RTNETLINK answers: File exists Failed to bring up eth0.
RTNETLINK answers: File exists
RTNETLINK answers: File exists
done.
